Jonas Eidevall believes Emma Hayes' accusation that he used 'male aggression' on the touchline is 'irresponsible'.

The Arsenal and Chelsea Women's bosses clashed at the end of the Conti Cup final on Sunday, which the former won 1-0.

Hayes shook hands with her counterpart but then pushed and waved her finger at him as she expressed her anger at the Swede.

When asked why she reacted in such a way to Eidevall, she claimed: "I’m not down for male aggression on the touchline. He got a yellow card, and he should probably have been sent off."

However, Eidevall has refuted such an accusation as he said: "I think that’s a very irresponsible way of labelling the behaviour that I have.

"I don’t feel comfortable with that label, I don’t think it’s the truth to do that, so I think it’s very irresponsible to do that."

Eidevall also addressed the confrontation soon after full-time, saying how it stemmed from their discussions about a multi-ball system and that Hayes' reaction was the 'heat of the moment.'

And new footage has emerged of the supposed incident that sparked the confrontation between the two managers at the end.

Despite Eidevall saying Chelsea didn't want to use a multi-ball system, Erin Cuthbert used a new ball to quickly take a throw-in.

The Arsenal boss reacted furiously on the touchline and was booked, with he and Cuthbert also appearing to exchange strong words.
