PHOTOS and results: Freestyle Friday moguls competition hits Highlands

Rocky Mountain Freestyle, with some help from the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club and Aspen Skiing Co., brought back its “Freestyle Friday” moguls competition to Aspen Highlands on Friday, March 29.
The small, easy-natured event was held just above the Merry-Go-Round restaurant. It featured 35 competitors over multiple divisions and included exhibition runs by Aspen’s own Alex Ferreira, a two-time Olympic medalist and three-time X Games champion in halfpipe skiing. Ferreira, an AVSC alumnus, was a mogul skier in his youth.
The division results are as follows:
10-and-under girls: 1. Frances Tiernan; 2. Beatrice Robison
10-and-under boys: 1. Holden Robison; 2. Will Halsey; 3. Jaylen McCulloch
11-15 girls: 1. Hilde Maytin; 2. Bella Bridges
11-15 boys: 1. Judah Simmons; 2. Jake Rueggeberg; 3. Blair Gessele
Pro women: 1. Lenna Persson; 2. Jaelyn Spreaker
Pro men: 1. Aaron Lee; 2. Mak Grandy; 3. Owen Fredrick; 4. Mido Morimoto
50-and-over-the-hill men: 1. Scott Gardiner; 2. Patrick Lyle; 3. Nick Goluba
