Gurugram administration is in active mode after the implementation of the code of conduct for lok sabha elections. DC and district election Officer Nishant Kumar Yadav gave instructions to immediately remove all hoardings, banners, posters, and wall paintings related to the election campaign. He asked for prosecution under the Misappropriation of Property Act for violation of the Model Code of Conduct. The district election Officer had called a meeting on the preparations for the lok sabha elections in the mini Secretariat auditorium.

Officials of the Municipal Corporation and the panchayat Department also participated in the meeting. He said that promotional material put up without permission in rural and urban areas should be immediately removed from walls or public places. He said that posters, banners, hoardings, and publicity materials can be put up at places designated by the State election commission in the district. He said that the list can be taken from the Assistant Electoral Officer of the assembly constituency.

The district election Officer gave orders

Material related to election campaigns should not be posted on the walls of any government building. Placing material is allowed at selected places in public places. Under the Defamation of Property Act, if any promotional material is placed on a private building, then permission is required from the building owner. He said that the officers should be alert to their duty to conduct the lok sabha elections. Sensitive polling stations should be identified in the district.

So that additional security forces can be deployed to conduct peaceful voting. DC Nishant Kumar Yadav said that the verification work on the new vote application should be done as soon as possible. So that the names of new voters are recorded in the list. Voter ID cards should be sent to new voters through the postal department. To implement the Voters Q App, preparations should be completed in the Badshahpur and Gurugram assembly constituencies.
