Beijing Opera House hosts grand opening of Kazakhstan Tourism Year

The inauguration of “The Year of Kazakhstan Tourism in China” was marked by an elaborate ceremony held at the China National Opera House in Beijing, according to a report from Kazinform News Agency.

The festivities included the display of an ethno-auyl (traditional village) and cultural activities in front of the China National Opera House.

Speakers at the event included Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister – Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu, Li Shulei, the head of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Event, with contributions from Kazakh Sport and Tourism Minister Yermek Marzhikpayev, alongside Chinese Culture and Tourism Minister Sun Yeli.

The event was highlighted by the opening performance ‘Yer saltanaty’, a theatrical and choreographic show featuring the talents of soloists from the Abay Opera House, Astana Ballet Theatre artists, and the ‘Shattyq’ Dance Theatre.

Notable participants in the concert celebrating this significant opening include People’s Artist of Kazakhstan Roza Rymbaeva, Honored Artist of Kazakhstan Mayra Mukhamedkyzy, opera singer Zarina Altynbaeva, the ethno-rock band ‘Ulytau’, the choir of the Abai Kazakh State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, and the ensembles ‘Serper’ and ‘Sazgen Sazy’, along with the ballet troupe ‘Astana Ballet’.
