WATERBURY – Mary Nancy (Marone) Tortorici, 83, of Waterbury, was reunited with her husband in Heaven on Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Village of East Farms in Waterbury. She was the loving wife of the late Michael Louis Tortorici, who predeceased her last year.
Mary was born in Waterbury on Dec. 27, 1940, a daughter of the late Constantine and Consiglia (Magnarella) Marone. Having grown up in Waterbury, Mary attended Waterbury parochial schools and graduated from Wilby High School.
Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory her two sons, Eugene Tortorici and his wife Susan, of Bristol, Michael L. Tortorici of Meriden, and his former wife Pam Tortorici of Waterbury; as well as her sister, Georgianna Gillette and her husband Edward “Butch,” of Waterbury.
She also leaves behind her four grandchildren, Danielle Johnson and her husband Mark, Eugene Tortorici and his wife Mayte, Allison Tortorici and her fiance Michael, Michael “Mickey” Tortorici and his wife Theresa; her great-grandchildren, Summer, Mason, Caylee, Luca, Gracelyn, Jocelyn, one great grandchild on the way; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, 11 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 235 Maltby St., in Bristol. There will be no calling hours. Everyone is kindly asked to meet directly at the church Tuesday morning. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury.
