PLYMOUTH – Mr. Louis P. “Louie” Daddona, 87, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the Bristol Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy L. (VanDemark) Daddona.

Louie was born April 11, 1936, in Waterbury, son of the late Arthur and Josephine (Ciarleglio) Daddona. Raised in Waterbury, he attended local schools and Wilby High School. He had served honorably in the United States Army. He owned and operated Yankee Tile, serving his community with beautiful tilework for years.

Louie was an avid sports fan; cheering on UConn, the Boston Celtics, New York Yankees and Giants, for many years. He also followed boxing, particularly the career of Rocky Marciano. He loved to travel with his wife across the United States and most of Europe.

Of all the things in this world, Louie loved his family the most.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Louis P. Daddona Jr. and his wife Sandra of Thomaston, Richard M. Daddona and his wife Marie of Thomaston, and Robert E. Daddona of Plymouth; his sister, Diane Keeley of Wolcott, whom he kept an eye on and loved dearly; his grandchildren, Julie Kindstedt and her husband Andrew of Tolland, and Richard M. Daddona Jr. and his wife Rachel of Beacon Falls; his great-granddaughter, Alyssa Ann Daddona; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son, Mark E. Daddona and his brother, Nicholas Daddona.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, April 6, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston. A prayer service will be at 3 p.m.; military honors will follow. Burial will be private.
