Newly formed multi state co-operative, National Co-op Export Limited has received an order to supply 50,000 MT onion to Bangladesh, according to media reports.
Media outlets based in Dhaka say that the Bangladesh Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs in a meeting on Wednesday approved in principle a proposal of the Commerce Ministry in this regard.
As per the proposal, state-owned Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB), a subordinate body of the Commerce Ministry, will import the onion from Indian National Cooperative Export Limited on a G-to-G basis.
