A warmer, clear weekend is ahead.
Skies are clear and breezy overnight with lows in the mid to upper 30s.
"We're going to be back up to 70 degrees for the high on Friday afternoon," WRAL meteorologist Kat Campbell said.

- Thursday: Cloudy and wet with rain moving out. Highs in the upper 50s.
- Friday: Mainly sunny. Highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.
- Saturday: Mainly sunny. Highs in the mid to upper 70s.
Friday will be mostly clear and dry. It will be breezy.
Poor conditions in Outer Banks
North Carolina's coast got a lot of rain over the weekend and in the last two days, and N.C. Highway 12 is closed in Ocracoke. Residents who live in the area report sand covering the roadways and high surf pounding beach homes.
The state Department of Transportation reports N.C. 12 may not reopen until Saturday.

Easter weekend looks gorgeous
The Easter weekend is looking glorious with sunshine and mild weather. Both Saturday and Sunday are expected to stay dry for egg hunts and other outdoor festivities.
"The weekend still looks great with highs near 80 degrees and a good amount of sunshine," WRAL meteorologist Anthony Baglione said.
It's expected to reach a high of 78 degrees on Saturday. Sunday's high is expected to reach 82 degrees.

It's a warm start next week with highs in the low 80s.
The next best chance for rain comes Tuesday night into Wednesday. The WRAL Weather team will continue to monitor conditions before the Durham Bulls' home opener on Tuesday, April 2 at the DBAP.

Eyes on the sky for 2024 total solar eclipse
We're getting closer to the next total solar eclipse for North America, which is happening on April 8.
We won't see a total eclipse in North Carolina, but lots of people will travel to take it in! Ohio will be the closest spot to drive to from Raleigh for the path of totality.
