A private detective pretending to be a civil servant tracked down an alleged IRA bomber through a simple phone call, according to a new book.
Now living in Northern Ireland, retired investigator Ian Withers was tasked with finding John Downey, who went on the run in the Republic following the 1982 Hyde Park bombing.
