Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 11:20AM

Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(up 5.24%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(up 2.49%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 2.01%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.56%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.37%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.26%), Agro Phos India Ltd.(up 1.20%), Aries Agro Ltd.(up 0.80%), Rama Phosphates Ltd.(up 0.31%) and National Fertilizers Ltd.(up 0.29%) were among the top gainers.

Bohra Industries Ltd.(down 4.90%), Krishana Phoschem Ltd.(down 0.93%), Coromandel International Ltd.(down 0.81%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(down 0.79%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.55%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.29%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(down 0.17%), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(down 0.08%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(down 0.07%) and Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.03%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 234.3 points up at 22357.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 770.86 points at 73767.17 at around 11:20AM.

Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 4.76%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 3.99%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.44%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 2.3%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.23%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.03%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 1.93%), State Bank of India(up 1.78%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.74%) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.72%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.26%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.73%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.48%), UPL Ltd.(down 0.42%) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.06%) were trading in the red.
