Police investigate shooting in Durham neighborhood that left man dead overnight
A Durham neighborhood woke up to flashing lights early Thursday morning, while police were on the scene for hours investigating a shooting that left a man dead.
Officers responded to a reported gunshot wound around 1:33 a.m. to a home in the 3400 block of Old Chapel Hill Road, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators were on the scene overnight determining the circumstances surrounding this incident.
This is an ongoing investigation, and it appears to be an isolated incident. Additional information will be released at the appropriate time.
