Women’s Club hosting wine tasting fundraiser

SOUTH DEERFIELD — The South Deerfield Women’s Club is hosting a wine tasting fundraiser on Thursday, April 4, as it looks to raise money for local scholarships, community meals and the South County Senior Center.

The event will be held at the South Deerfield Polish Club, 46 South Main St., from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 at the door, but are available at a discounted rate of $20 on Saturday, March 30, at three locations in Deerfield. Ciesluk’s Market will sell tickets from 9 a.m. to noon, Leo’s Table will sell them from 10 a.m. to noon and the Polish Club will sell them at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will be homemade appetizers and desserts, free door prizes and wine-themed raffle baskets. Wine from Cameron’s Winery and other vineyards will be available.

Deerfield building permits will soon be available online

DEERFIELD — Beginning April 1, licensed contractors, property owners and business owners will be able to apply for, pay for and receive building permits online.

Once the online system begins, paper applications for all permits issued by the Inspection Department will no longer be accepted. If folks are unable to submit online, they are encouraged to email or call the Inspection Department at 413-665-1400, ext. 108.
