WATERBURY – Jarron Michael Diamond Chapman, age 26, of Waterbury, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, in Waterbury.
Jarron was born in Waterbury on April 17, 1997, a son of Artivia Drake and the late Michael Chapman. He was a 2015 graduate of Naugatuck High School, where he was an outstanding basketball player. He was also earned a bachelor’s degree from Monroe College.
Besides his mother, Artivia and her husband Charlton Walker, of Waterbury, Jarron leaves his children, Mason Chapman and Miyana Diaz; brother, Drake Chapman; maternal great-grandmother, Otelia Eason; maternal grandfather, Arthur Drake, paternal grandfather, Harry King; aunts, Jamie Drake, Rachael Drake, Shamaine Savage, Stacy Chapman; uncles, Orin Chapman, Glynn Chapman, Darryl Flowers; and a host of brothers, sisters, stepbrothers, stepsisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Eileen Chapman; maternal grandmother, Priscilla Drake; and paternal grandfather, Antonio Alves.
Calling hours with Jarron’s cremains present will be on Thursday evening, April 4, 2024, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. A prayer service will follow the wake at 6 p.m. Burial is private.
