Kyle Walker could play in crucial Man City vs Arsenal clash as defender handed injury boost

Kyle Walker is in contention to play in Manchester City's crucial clash against Arsenal despite sustaining a hamstring injury last weekend.

The defender hobbled off 20 minutes into England's defeat to Brazil last Saturday holding his left leg.

He subsequently withdrew from international duty on Sunday with England still to play Belgium on Tuesday night, live on talkSPORT.

However, Sky Sports reports the injury 'isn't thought to be too serious' and Man City are hopeful he'll be available to play in the title race clash with Arsenal on Sunday.

Walker was replaced by Ezri Konsa early on in the Wembley match with the five-time world champions after complaining of a hamstring issue.

The former Tottenham and Sheffield United full-back has made 38 appearances for City this season, playing 26 of their 28 Premier League matches.
