Green business workshop for Northwest Colorado coming up this week
The Yampa Valley Sustainability Council and Steamboat Springs Chamber are offering the second installment of the “Business Leadership for Climate” workshop series this Wednesday.
Local business owners and organizations are encouraged to join the event from noon-1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Routt County Health and Human Services Community Room at 135 6th St. in Steamboat Springs.
The workshop will focus on the benefits of state-level recognition through the Colorado Green Business Network and provide insights into achieving bronze-level certification within the first year.
According to organizers, attendees also will gain comprehensive knowledge about the green business program, learn how to navigate the recognition application process and discover strategies to accumulate points toward certification.
The event aims to foster the growth of the Yampa Valley green business community and allow for conversation about green business opportunities and challenges.
Lunch will be provided courtesy of Hypnotic Chicken with energy bars from Bar-U-Eat. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
For those unable to attend, the Colorado Green Business Network of the Yampa Valley team will also host office hours at the Bud Werner Memorial Library Coffee Bar from 8:30-9:30 a.m. the last Wednesday of every month. No RSVP is required, and attendees can drop by, enjoy a free coffee and snack as they learn more and get their questions answered.
Registration is available at TicketTailor.com/events/yampavallleysustainabilitycouncil/1144591. For more, visit YVSC.org/events-V2/green-business-workshop/.
