Four people killed in Armagh crash
Tributes have been paid to four young people killed in a crash in Co Armagh over the weekend – one of them the mother of a young child.
Four young people died at the scene and have been named as Marina Crilly, Phil Mitchell, Emma Mallon and Keith Morrison.
A band Marina Crilly followed paid tribute to her and said they wanted to sympathise with her family and three-year-old son.
Tamna Ceili is an Irish folk band based in Armagh.
“So sorry to hear about the loss of our good friend Marina Crilly in that terrible road tragedy in Armagh,” they said.
The band passed on its sympathies to Marina’s family, particularly her young son.
"Our sympathy goes out to wee Cillian, to the Crilly family and also the Prunty family and all others who had the pleasure to know her. Suaimhneas síoraí uirthi.”
Marina’s colleagues at Greenpark Nursing Home also paid tribute to her.
“Management, staff and residents are devastated of the loss of our colleague and friend Marina. We express our deepest sympathy to the Crilly family and Marina’s mum Sally also our loving colleague and friend.”
Keith Morrison
Phil Mitchell was set to be best man for a friend’s wedding this summer. His friend shared a tribute on social media.
"Devastated, don’t have words for it, will miss the phone calls and the craic, will be a big empty space in August without my best man. Rest easy Phil.”
Emma Mallon’s workplace – Mullans Spar on Monaghan Road in Armagh – paid tribute to her on Monday.
“Emma was not only a loyal employee, but a friend to both staff and customers alike, always helpful and smiling. Another life taken too soon,” they said on social media.
And Keith Morrison’s workplace, Haffeys Sports Grounds in Portadown, also paid tribute.
"We are completely shocked and saddened at the sudden death of our beloved Keith Morrison in a road traffic accident at the weekend,” it said.

"Keith has been a part of the Haffey Sportsground family since he was fifteen when he came to work during school holidays alongside his father Alwyn who managed our garage and yard.
"Since then Keith has become an integral part of our team driving lorries and tractors, maintaining sportsgrounds all over the island of Ireland.”

Earlier on Monday, DUP MLA William Irwin said he intends to use his own experience of losing a child to support the families.
William Irwin said it’s “a family’s worst nightmare” and his thoughts are with those affected.

The DUP representative for Newry and Armagh told the BBC: “This is a family’s worst nightmare, their children grow up, their children go out in cars and they’re always hopeful they’ll come home safe and well.
“Most families don’t fully recover from the loss of a young person.”
Mr Irwin said the whole community is in shock following the deaths.
Emma Mallon
Mr Irwin lost his own son, Philip, in a swimming accident when he was just 15.
“Nothing in the world prepares you for the loss of a young person or child, nothing prepares you for it, the trauma, the shock, the birthdays that come ahead, the anniversaries, everything in the future, everything is an issue for that family,” he said.
Mr Irwin added that he plans to visit the families of those killed in the coming days.
“My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families that have suffered in the last 48 hours.
“It is horrendous and I intend to visit the families and speak to them, and as you do say, having gone through that experience, I can resonate with those families and know how they feel today.”
