In the assembly elections, azad candidate Hoshiar Singh got 22 thousand 997 votes, congress candidate Dr. rajesh sharma got 19 thousand 120 votes and bjp candidate Ramesh Chand Dhwala got 16 thousand 730 votes.

Contesting the election as an independent, Hoshiar Singh won by a margin of 3 thousand 877 votes. congress won the 2022 assembly elections. Hoshiar Singh supported congress as an Associate MLA. He voted in favor of the bjp candidate in the rajya sabha elections. Now he is talking about resigning from the membership of the assembly and contesting the elections on a bjp ticket.
