A day after the Delhi High Court denied the urgent hearing of a plea filed by Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister on Sunday issued his first order from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody. The Chief Minister’s order was related to the Water Department, the portfolio handled by Delhi Minister Atishi.

Addressing the press conference, the Delhi Water Minister Atishi read out the order, through a note, sent by Kejriwal and said even in such a situation the Delhi CM is not thinking about himself, but the people of Delhi and their problems.

After receiving the order note from the Delhi boss, she is in tears and says Kejriwal ji has sent her a letter and a direction. On reading it, she was in tears. she kept thinking who is this man, who is in prison, but is still thinking about Delhi residents’ water and sewage problems. Only Delhi CM Kejriwal can do this because he considers himself a family member of Delhi’s 2 crore people, she read a note sent by the Chief Minister from ED lock-up.

On March 21, Kejriwal was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at the Delhi CM’s residence in the 2021-2022 Delhi liquor policy case. During ED’s search operation, Kejriwal was arrested amidst dramatic circumstances as the AAP chief failed to obtain interim protection from arrest in the Delhi excise policy case from the Delhi High Court earlier.

The city court on March 22 granted seven days of custody of Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal to ED till March 28 for Kejriwal’s detailed and sustained interrogation regarding his role in the alleged Delhi excise policy case.

The Delhi CM on March 22 withdrew his petition in the apex court against his arrest by the ED, as the party decided to contest the ED custody first.

Yesterday, during a press conference, Atishi claimed that the money trail was in fact found in the BJP’s account and challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and ED to arrest the BJP national president JP Nadda.

Ahead of Lok Sabha elections, the former Chief of Air Staff R K S Bhadauria on Sunday joined the BJP in the presence of Union Minister Anurag Thakur and BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde.

Addressing the press after joining the BJP, he extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief JP Nadda and others for giving him an opportunity to join the BJP and contribute towards nation-building.

The former Chief of Air Staff further said that he served the IAF for more than four decades, but the best time of his service was the last eight years under the leadership of the BJP government.

The tough steps taken by this government to empower and modernise Indian armed forces and make them self-reliant have not only given rise to a new capability in the forces but also given them a new confidence, the newly-joined BJP leader said.

The results of the self-reliant move by the government can be seen on the ground, he added. From the point of view of security, the steps being taken by the government are very important and will take India to new heights globally, Bhadauria said after joining the party.

Notably, Bhadauria joined the BJP nearly two-and-a-half years after he retired from the post in the armed forces.

Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria served as the 23rd Chief of the Air Force from September 30, 2019, to September 30, 2021. He hails from Bah tehsil in the Agra district. According to reports, the BJP is considering offering him the opportunity to represent Ghaziabad as their Lok Sabha candidate.

However, the current Lok Sabha MP from Ghaziabad is military veteran General VK Singh, who has won the seat twice, first in 2014 and again in 2019. The BJP is yet to announce its candidates for the Ghaziabad seat, despite releasing four lists of candidates so far.
