Goa Velha

Betalbatim Sporting Club beat Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda 6-4 via tiebreaker to lift the 16th London Trophy Inter Village football tournament organised by Goa Velha Sports Club and played on Goa Velha SC ground.

DBO took the lead midway during the first half with a thunderous shot by Velton D’Souza. Betalbatim SC pressed for an equalizer, but couldn’t find the net.

The second half saw Betalbatim level early on through Malcolm Fernandes. Despite continued efforts from both sides, the game remained deadlocked at 1-1 after regulation time.

In the tie breaker, Betalbatim triumphed, scoring through Ashley Fernandes, Senatro Fernandes, Oliver D’Souza, Keith Rodrigues, and Gladson Braganza.

Don Bosco netted through Roque Borges, Velton D’Souza, and Rahul Sharma, but Cayven Araujo’s shot went wide.

The award ceremony was officiated by Fr. Antonio Albuquerque, with Fr. based in the UK.
