The parents of silver Olympic medal winner Annalise Murphy have been prosecuted and fined €5,000 for building two sheds “bigger than many rural houses” on the shores of scenic Lough Ree.
Roscommon County Council prosecuted married couple Con Murphy and Olympian Cathy MacAleavey in Ballaghaderreen District Court this month for failing to comply with an enforcement order to remove the sheds.
