Eriksson recently revealed he has 'at best a year to live' after being diagnosed with terminal cancer and was subsequently asked to manage the Reds for the Legends clash against Ajax.

The 76-year-old walked onto the pitch alone to soak up a standing ovation from those in the stands, before his side followed him out.

Footage showed him visibly moved as the Reds faithful belted out their iconic anthem.

His former England player and ex-Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard stood beside him as the stars lined up.
