Pax of Nagoa continued their stellar run in the Goa Professional League, dismantling Panjim Footballers 4-0 at the SAG ground on Saturday.
Nagoa started strong, their dominance soon paid off as they broke the deadlock in the 18th minute. Royal Oliveira threaded a perfectly timed pass to Velroy Fernandes. He selflessly squared the ball to an unmarked Jesloy Moniz, who tapped home to put Nagoa ahead.
Vipin Sharma, the Panjim keeper, emerged as a bright spot for his team with a couple of crucial saves.
The second half mirrored the first, with Nagoa dictating the tempo. A swift exchange between Shubert and Royal Oliveira culminated in a delightful through ball for Velroy Fernandes, who finished with aplomb to double Nagoa’s lead.
Substitute Ronaldo Oliveira played a vital role in their third goal, setting up Sidney Gauncar for a close-range finish.
Nagoa wasn’t done yet. Malappa Bizzargi rose highest to meet Stalen Lucas’ left-sided cross in the 87th minute, guiding his header past the hapless Panjim keeper to make it 4-0.
