This year marks a big one for Dungeons & Dragons: It's the 50th anniversary of D&D. And whether the D&D fan in your life is a veteran Dungeon Master or a newbie curious to get into the game, there's plenty for them to get excited about, since there are lots of launches and collaborations planned for the milestone — with more announcements sure to come as 2024 rolls on.

Of course, even without the new, shiny 50th anniversary items, there are loads of great Dungeons & Dragons gift ideas for 2024. There are plenty of game extensions, add-ons and accessories, from creative dice sets to terrain maps and DM screens to new adventure books that are available for pre-order. Then there are the fan items for collectors, like plushes, figurines, statues and art that make the game room look good. And finally, there are the D&D gifts that take the dungeon to other rooms of the house, like appliances for the kitchen or PJs and blankets for the bedroom. Grab one of these, and you won't have to beware the smiling DM.

Of course, D&D is not going to let its 50th anniversary pass without a thrilling new adventure. In this one, the fate of the universe is at stake, as iconic villain Vecna is set on destroying it. In order to defeat him, players will travel through the multiverse, to locations old and new, and battle 30 new monsters in their quest to save the world. Vecna: Eye of Ruin will be released on May 21, and it's for character levels 10 to 20; for less experienced players, Quests from the Infinite Staircase — a new adventure for levels 1 to 13 — will be out on July 16.

Whether they're gearing up for a lengthy campaign or just want to be cozy while lounging around the house, these PJ pants will let them be comfy and help them manifest their future dice rolls. Added bonus: They have pockets!

This tome is not for the casual fan. Instead, true die-hards can read about the creation of D&D from the very beginning, including creator Gary Gygax's original typed draft along with his hand-written notes. There are also tons more ephemera, including correspondence between Gygax and co-creator David Arneson, early booklets and supplements and even old fanzine articles. It comes out on June 18, but it's available for pre-order now.
