Today (Friday): Mainly sunny and bright with clouds slowly increasing and shrouding sunshine, especially late day, as breezes kick up a little. A few gusts from the south-southeast around 20 mph are possible then. Temperatures should be able to top out in the mid-to-upper 50s for most of us. Confidence: Medium-High
Tonight: Early evening may be dry, but grab an umbrella or rain jacket if out into the later evening hours. Steadier rain may get going after only a short introduction from showers. Arriving from the southwest after dark, it turns heavier by the predawn hours when our flood watch takes effect. A few patches of fog are possible, so please drive with extra care if you must be out late. Temperatures dip but then hover within a few degrees of 45 as rain gets going. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Saturday): Patchy fog remains possible. Rain is heavy at times — especially in the morning — before easing during the afternoon. A rumble of thunder is possible. Areas where flooding potential is higher include urban and poor drainage areas, along with small streams. We should start drying out a bit by late afternoon or evening. Winds are also building with time. Late-day gusts from the northwest could be as high as 35 mph as temperatures top out within a few degrees of 55. Confidence: Medium-High
Tomorrow night: Any evening showers shouldn’t be too heavy or long-lasting. Clearer skies become more and more noticeable with time. Wind remains elevated, especially before midnight. It gusts to around 25 mph from the north and northwest. Temperatures fall noticeably, into the upper 20 to mid-30s for lows. Confidence: Medium
Sunday: Skies are sunny with mild high temperatures in the low to mid-50s. While the thermometer may only be a bit below-average for this time of year, wind chills in the 40s may offer some late-winter feels. Winds from the north, gusting around 20-25 mph at times and diminishing late. Confidence: Medium-High
A look ahead
Sunday night: Skies should be clear and winds calm(er). Be sure to look for the rising full “worm” moon. Low temperatures may be a degree or two milder than Saturday night but still aiming for the upper 20s to mid-30s. Confidence: Medium
High confidence in high levels of sunshine again for Monday with dry and fairly calm conditions expected. High temperatures aim for average late March levels. Mid-50s in the typically coolest spots to low 60s in the traditionally warmer, urban areas. Confidence: Medium-High
