A pedestrian near Copley Square suffered “life-threatening injuries” in a hit-and-run crash Friday morning, according to State Police who were investigating.

The crash reportedly happened on the Copley Square ramp from Mass Pike eastbound, Mass State Police said.

“Troopers are on-scene of a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian, Copley Square ramp from Mass Pike EB, Boston,” State Police posted at 9:22 a.m.

“Male pedestrian has life-threatening injuries,” police added. “Copley ramp toward Huntington Ave. currently closed.”

The pedestrian was transported to a Boston hospital.

The Copley ramp later reopened, State Police said at 11:10 a.m.

The investigation into the hit-and-run was ongoing.

State Police posted, “We will update further when we have more info that is appropriate for release.”
