When will the rain return?

However, rain chances increase through the afternoon, making the evening commute potentially wet. The heaviest rain is forecast to arrive Friday night.
Rain and possibly isolated storms are expected to arrive Friday afternoon and linger into Saturday morning.
Forecast models suggest the rain will clear by early Saturday, leaving most of the day dry.

Get ready for a gray day in Raleigh on Saturday. Expect heavy rain, especially during the morning commute.
The good news is the rain should become more sporadic as the day progresses. While it won't be a complete washout, it might not be the best day for outdoor activities.
"Rainfall totals should exceed an inch for many of us which will really help to cleanse the air of all the pollen," Campbell said.
Some areas could see up to three inches of rain this weekend, particularly on the coast.

Enjoy sunshine and dry skies all day long Sunday, making it perfect for outdoor activities.
