HOUSTON — President Joe Biden Is visiting Houston Thursday on the latest leg of his campaign trail.
The president arrived just after 11:50 a.m. at Ellington Field. Houston Mayor John Whitmire and Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo greeted the president as he walked off Air Force One.
This comes a little more than a week after Biden clinched the number of delegates required to be the party's presumptive nominee for the 2024 Election.
For the past week, the president has made trips to key battleground states. While Texas isn't considered a battleground state, it is rich in campaign allies.

Biden's been touting his record with manufacturing in states like Michigan and Wisconsin while highlighting other accomplishments like the CHIPS Act while at a stop in Arizona. The president arrived in Dallas Wednesday for a pair of fundraising events.
Filings with the Federal Election Commission show Biden ahead of presumptive GOP nominee former President Donald Trump. But, the spring is an important fundraising stage of the campaign ahead of summer party conventions.
