Collision on highway 40 leads to minor injuries

At approximately 8:15 a.m. Thursday morning, two silver SUVs were involved in an accident near mile marker 100 on U.S. 40.
Both vehicles were traveling eastward when the rear vehicle collided with the front vehicle, causing the front vehicle to roll multiple times.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, each vehicle contained a single occupant and only minor injuries reported. The driver of the rear vehicle was issued a citation for careless driving.
Colorado State Patrol would like to remind drivers to be aware of their surroundings and watch their speed.
