International Game Technology unveils board and leadership changes; Marco Drago to step down

International Game Technology PLC (IGT), listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol IGT, announced on March 21, 2024, significant changes to its leadership and Board of Directors. Marco Drago has decided to resign from his position as a non-executive director on the IGT Board, effective at the close of the company’s Annual General Meeting scheduled for May 14, 2024. Until then, he will fulfill his responsibilities for the remainder of his term.

The IGT Board has appointed Enrico Drago as a non-executive director. Furthermore, Enrico will leave his position as CEO of IGT PlayDigital, and Gil Rotem, the current President of iGaming at IGT PlayDigital, will take on the expanded role of President, directly reporting to Vince Sadusky, IGT’s CEO. These adjustments will become effective on April 1, 2024. Enrico Drago will also maintain his position as vice chairman of De Agostini S.p.A.

• Marco Drago has been a significant figure at IGT, serving as a Non-executive Director since the company’s inception in April 2015. He holds the role of President at B&D Holding S.P.A. since 2018 and transitioned to Chairman Emeritus of De Agostini, S.p.A. in 2022 after serving as Chairman. His extensive experience includes serving as Deputy Chairman for Grupo Planeta-De Agostini SL and Chairman ad honorem of De Agostini Editore S.p.A. Marco has a rich history of board memberships, including Atresmedia SA and several other companies. With over 55 years in the professional world, he graduated from Bocconi University with a B.Sc. in Economics and Business. He is the father of Enrico Drago.
• Enrico Drago holds the position of CEO for PlayDigital at IGT since September 2021 and has been with the company’s PlayDigital sector since 2018. He became Vice Chairman of De Agostini S.p.A. in June 2021. With a career spanning 25 years, Enrico’s educational background includes an MBA from IESE Business School, University of Navarra, and a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Bocconi University.
• Gil Rotem joined IGT in 2021 as the President of iGaming for IGT PlayDigital, contributing significantly to its positioning in the global iGaming market, overseeing acquisitions, and expanding the game portfolio. With over two decades in the iGaming industry, including a significant tenure at bet365, Rotem brings extensive experience in strategic planning and operations to his role at IGT.
