MUMBAI: There have been some significant developments in Star Plus’ most talked about show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

The serial has been airing for more than 15 years now and has developed an incredible fan base with a significant rise in TRPs . The show has been through three generations and currently narrates the story of the fourth generation. While Samridhii Shukla, Pratiksha Honmukhe and Shehzada Dhami have been seen in the leading roles as Abhira, Ruhi and Armaan, there is an actor who has been giving a unique spin to the narrative. Actor Shivam Khajuria plays the role of Rohit Poddar in the show as Ruhi’s husband.

While the show has recently been making headlines about Pratiksha and Shehzada being terminated from the show, Shivam had passed a statement out of sheer goodwill for the two actors. However, his statement was manipulated to suit the perspective of respective fan clubs and certain people who are ardent fans of the show terming it as a ‘harsh comment’.

We connect with Shivam about his return to the show and his clarification on the same.  

Shivam mentioned, “I think that the team of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is extremely professional. I will start shooting for the show soon. I had actually given a statement in a positive manner and a good intention. I felt bad that a good opportunity could not be capitalized and that there are so many actors who wait for a good opportunity and want to be a part of big and projects.
