Following the recent resounding rejection of the two proposals to amend the Constitution, which was so comprehensive that the Government was left with an embarrassingly bloody nose, it looks like we might soon be facing our next big national question – the right to die, assisted dying and euthanasia.

Last week, the Joint Committee on Assisted Dying met to propose legislation that would change our current laws on this vexing and deeply distressing issue.
