Chatham County man facing child pornography charges
Andrew Phillip Gerbing, 38, of Siler City, was arrested Thursday after investigators found numerous pornographic images and videos of minors in his home.
A Chatham County man is facing several child pornography charges.
The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office received a report that the Siler City man was in possession of child pornography. Investigators conducted a search warrant of the suspect’s residence after receiving the tip.
Andrew Phillip Gerbing, 38, of Siler City, was arrested Thursday after investigators found numerous pornographic images and videos of minors in his home.
Authorities charged Gerbing with the following crimes:
- One count of felony third-degree sex exploitation of a minor
- One count of felony soliciting child by computer
- One count of felony disseminating obscenity
- One count of misdemeanor disseminating material harmful to a minor
The investigation is ongoing.
Gerbing was given a $15,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court on Monday.
