The artist has not made the statue for himself, but for a businessman from Kadakola, Nanjangud. The businessman placed an order for a Puneeth Rajkumar statue to be made completely of iron and SS nuts. He has spent Rs 1.5 lakh for it. About 35 kgs of wax, 5 kg stainless steel nuts and 50 kg iron nuts have been used to make the idol. It has been made with such precision that it completely resembles Puneeth Rajkumar. The time given to the artist Kumar to complete the task was just 1 month, within which he delivered this artwork.

Last year a giant statue of the late actor was unveiled at Bellary, which is till date the largest statue of Puneeth Rajkumar. The statue is twenty-three feet tall. Fibre and iron are used to create the statue. The statue weighs 3000 kg overall, of which 1000 kg are made of iron. According to a report, the statue cost a total of Rs 22 lakh. It was unveiled in the presence of Puneeth’s wife Ashwini and brother raghavendra Rajkumar.
