Free health kits available Sunday

Free health kits will be available for community members to pick up from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Howelsen Ice Arena in Steamboat Springs.

Stool-based colorectal cancer testing kits will be available to individuals 45 and older who have not had a colonoscopy within the past five years. Radon testing kits and smoking cessation education and resources also will be offered.

The health information event is sponsored by UCHealth Jan Bishop Cancer Center in collaboration with the University of Colorado School of Medicine’s community outreach and education center. CU School of Medicine will provide cancer awareness education and patient navigation support in both English and Spanish.
