This is the 1967 home jersey belonging to Steve Tensi. It shows blood stains on the back. Tom Jacobsen is an avid collector of all things football. He has dozens of old jerseys dating back to the late 1960s as well as recent ones like former Denver Broncos quarterbacks Jay Cutler and John Elway. He also has many helmets, new and old. Amazingly, he even has photos of the players wearing the actual jerseys that he bought. He also bought some of the old chairs from Mile High Stadium when the building was demolished. (Helen H. Former Broncos quarterback Steve Tensi passed away last Friday.

He was 81 years old.

Born on Dec. 8, 1942, Tensi joined the Broncos after he was traded from the San Diego Chargers in 1967. He played four years in Denver, throwing for 5,153 yards, 38 touchdowns and 45 interceptions in 41 games (32 starts).

He threw a career-high 16 touchdown passes in his first season with the Broncos in 1967.

Tensi is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean; his siblings, Marilyn, David and Larry; children Barbara, Steve Jr., Holly and Jonathan; and over a dozen grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
