Selected Moffat County High School choir students recently traveled to Gunnison to participate in the Western Slope Honor Choir at Western Colorado University.

MCHS had 21 students audition for the honor choir, along with 400 other students across the state. Only 220 students were selected to join the honor choirs.

Nine students from Moffat County were selected to participate, including Cynae Montoya, Trinity Garcia, Caedmon Anderson, Taylor Powell, Marie Roberts, Max Turner, Ellianna Crain, Ronin Miller, and Cheyenne Grivy.

The students spent three days in very intense rehearsals preparing songs for a concert that was performed at the University’s concert hall with guest conductors from the Denver area Saturday afternoon.
