Free homebuyer education class offered

A free, one-day class about homebuying and homeownership will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 13 at Craig City Hall (300 W. 4th St.). Class materials and lunch will also be provided at no cost.

The class will cover a range of topics, including steps to the homebuying process, cost of homeownership, consumer laws, mortgage lending, working with a lender, avoiding predatory practices, working with a broker, shopping for a home, conducting inspections, post purchase financial planning, home maintenance and protection, and refinancing.
