Woman found dead in Spring Lake, man wanted for questioning

A woman's death in Spring Lake has been ruled a homicide, according to police.

Around 10 a.m. on Friday officers with the Spring Lake Police Department responded to a home on Green Street. Nakhia Wimberly, 40, was found dead inside the home.

Spring Lake police are attempting to locate Patrick Antron Belk, 33, for questioning.

"Patrick Belk is believed to have vital information that would assist police with this case," according to a news release.

Belk was last known to be in Spring Lake on March 15. Anyone with knowledge of his location is asked to contact Spring Lake Police at 910-436-0350.
