Transat A.T. Inc. is excited to declare Sebastian Ponce as its new Chief Revenue Officer. In this capacity, Sebastian will oversee the strategy for the air network, manage revenue, and spearhead the expansion of airline alliances.
Joining Transat in 2018, Sebastian previously served as Vice President of Program and Alliances. His leadership was pivotal in reshaping the company’s network and alliance approach and establishing the Alliances department, which focuses on crafting and upholding partnerships with other airlines. Notably, he led the initiative for numerous partnership agreements between carriers, including a landmark commercial joint venture with Porter Airlines—the company’s first. His tenure also saw the introduction of two codeshare agreements with Canadian airlines and several interline agreements with European and South American carriers.
With over 15 years in the airline industry, including a decade at Air France, Sebastian’s extensive background spans roles in Revenue Management, Controlling, Airport Strategy, Network Planning, and Alliances.
Sebastian is an alumnus of McGill and HEC Montréal, where he earned an Executive MBA, and he holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria in Chile.
