Perhaps Digvijay Singh said that when there is already a law for indian citizenship, then what was the need for CAA. Many people have been given citizenship under the old law. He also raised questions on the Center regarding the long time taken in making the rules of CAA. Digvijay Singh said that he had brought the law in 2019, so why did it take him 5 years to make the rules. The rules were already made. What is new in this that they have adopted the rules of the indian Citizenship Act. This is just to fool people.

It is noteworthy that a notification has been issued by the central government regarding CAA. A notification regarding the rules of caa was issued by the Union home Ministry on monday (11 March). Under this law, citizenship will be provided to 6 religious minorities (Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians) who came to india from three neighboring countries Pakistan, bangladesh and afghanistan before december 2014.
