On March 9th, 2024, SalamAir, the pioneering budget carrier of Oman, inaugurated its inaugural office in Baghdad with a festive event at the Al Asal Building, located on 14th Ramadan St. in the Al Mansour district. This event signifies a pivotal achievement for the airline.
The inauguration was graced by the esteemed Hamed Ahmed Eidroos, Oman’s Ambassador to Iraq, who underscored the momentous occasion of SalamAir’s entry into Baghdad. The event also saw the participation of the Kuwaiti and Yemeni Ambassadors to Iraq, along with notable figures from various sectors, including airport authorities and respected business partners from Baghdad and throughout Iraq.
This Baghdad office is SalamAir’s first in Iraq, marking an important progression for the airline. The reintroduction of direct flights from Oman to Iraq on August 31st, 2023, after a two-decade break, has played a crucial role in enhancing connectivity and collaboration between the two countries. SalamAir’s commitment to broadening its horizons and providing affordable travel solutions is exemplified by the opening of this office.
Offering four weekly flights from Baghdad to Muscat, SalamAir connects passengers to an exciting array of destinations such as Salalah, Colombo, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Dhaka, Jaipur, Lucknow, Multan, and Dammam, further enriching its network and travel offerings.
