Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou snapped back at a reporter for calling touristy fans 'plastic'.

Spurs recently upset supporters by announcing a six per cent rise in the price of season tickets.

One journalist asked whether the north Londonders were targeting 'tourists' and 'plastic fans' who were willing to pay more money.

But Postecoglou considered that view to be disrespectful.

"See that's really harsh and I'll tell you why," the Australian responded.

"Because I'm probably plastic and tourist because I was coming from the other side of the world really passionate about football and if I could get access to see a Premier League game, that was the world to me.
