Adah Sharma, Sudipto Sen, and Vipul Amrutlal Shah released a gripping new story titled Bastar: The Naxal Story in 2023, following the enormous popularity of The Kerala Story. It was anticipated to perform well at the box office and is among the most talked about movies of 2024.

However, on its first day, the film manages to earn only Rs 50 lakh. The film’s business suffered greatly as a result of the conflict with Yodha, starring Sidharth Malhotra.

Bastar: The Naxal Story reportedly had an overall occupancy rate of 7.97% on Friday, with the night shows making up a significant portion of this.

It’s Friday domestic box office earnings came in at just Rs 50 lakh. On its first day of release, the film directed by Sudipto and produced by Vipul earned Rs 8 crore. After then, it continued to grow at the box office gradually, reaching an outstanding lifetime total of Rs 242 crore in India.

Soon after the film’s first teaser was unveiled, it raised the political temperature in the country. A section of people termed it a ‘propaganda’ film.

About the film

The film, which is based on the Naxal insurgency in the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh, examines the hardships faced by the local populace without delving into the political aspects of the problem. In the film, Adah portrays an IPS officer.

Following the uproar over The Kerala Story, Vipul made it clear earlier this week that Bastar: The Naxal Story isn’t a political story. They had no intention of engaging in politics. Their goal is to investigate human tragedy. The average person is the true victim, and all politics is biased towards one side. When will they be able to express their pain to others? Normally, we would curse at politicians and move on, but this actual human tragedy must be addressed, he stated.

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan said angioplasty reports were fake news as he attended an ISPL match in Mumbai on Friday. On the same day, it was reported that Big B was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital and underwent an angioplasty.

Bachchan was seen attending an ISPL match in Mumbai last night and was accompanied by his son Abhishek Bachchan. He was witnessed having a conversation with cricketer Sachin Tendulkar at the stadium.

A video shared on Instagram by Viral Bhayani showcased Big B smiling and greeting paps. On being asked about his health by one of them, senior Bachchan said he was doing good and was heard saying fake news.

Big B recounted his experience at the ISPL finals match. While expressing his sadness over the defeat, he recognized the better performance of the opposing team. He gave credit to the opposing team and declared his determination to return with greater resilience in the next season. Tigers from Kolkata emerged victorious in the first-ever ISPL competition, defeating ‘Majhi’ Mumbai in the final on Friday.

He also shared his experience of getting mobbed outside the stadium and said he was stuck at the entrance gate for over an hour. The crowds were so enthusiastic that they didn’t give him even an inch to move. Compromised security eventually got them through, but by the time they made it to their seats, their batting innings were over and they knew the score was dismal.

Earlier, it was reported that Bachchan had been admitted to the hospital. The actor was admitted to the hospital after claiming to be out of breath, and it was said that he needed to undergo heart surgery.

It was also reported that he became ill and was admitted to the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. There, he underwent an angioplasty. He went to the hospital for a general health checkup since he was uncomfortable while attending events, the doctors then advised him to have the operation so he was brought to the hospital today, as per the earlier report.

Earlier this year, Big B underwent a wrist surgery. He posted photos of himself with Akshay Kumar on his blog in January, captioning them, Akshay, one of the owners (of ISPL)..and an explanation to him about the surgery on his hand. He was seen wearing a sling at his wrist.

The actor sustained a back injury while shooting for Kalki 2898 AD in Hyderabad in March of last year. As a result, the actor had to recuperate in bed. At that time, he had strained rib cartilage and a torn muscle. Due to medical limitations, Amitabh was unable to attend the San Diego Comic Con last year in order to promote the movie.

Amitabh recently revealed on his blog that he had recently shot Kalki 2898 AD for Nag Ashwin. The Don actor said, late nights again but as Kalki  nears completion and as has been informed, the release date is May 9th, he added. Thus, the final attempts are being made to organize everything and deliver to everyone an experience that fulfills the maker’s objective, he added.
