Veteran politician Patricia de Lille has based her GOOD party’s manifesto launch on the promise of a R999 basic income grant, should they be elected to government.

On Saturday, the party launched its manifesto in Johannesburg where it laid out its plans for the 29 May elections.

De Lille said the extent of poverty threatened to dismantle all the technical gains the country had made since the dawn of democracy.
