A few days ago, we exclusively revealed that Samsung is seriously considering launching a new smartwatch with a squarer screen. Now, new rumors reveal more information about the Galaxy Watch 7 series, and it brings a surprise if the information ends up being correct.

It could be getting a new variant and a brand-new processor.

Galaxy Watch 7 to have three variants and the Exynos W940 chip with 50% better power efficiency

According to a tipster, the Galaxy Watch 7 will come in three variants: Classic, Pro, and one more. The new variant of the smartwatch could have the squarer screen design that we reported about. If this information is correct, it will be the first time that Samsung releases three versions of the Galaxy Watch.

Another rumor from tipster @TheGalox_ claims that the Exynos W940 chip, which is expected to be used in the Galaxy Watch 7 series, will be 50% more power efficient than the Exynos W930 used in the Galaxy Watch 6. Moreover, the upcoming Exynos chip for wearables will be 30% faster than the previous model. This will give the Galaxy Watch 7 a much-needed boost to compete with the likes of the OnePlus Watch 2, Pixel Watch 2, and Xiaomi Watch 2, which use a 4nm Snapdragon Wear chip from Qualcomm.

There were reports earlier that the Exynos W940 would be the first chip from Samsung to use Samsung Foundry's 3nm process. If it is indeed true, then the claims of being 50% more power-efficient and 30% faster could actually be possible. However, you should take this information with a pinch of salt, as tipster @TheGalox_ has been incorrect multiple times in the past.
