Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty hires two new broker associates

Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty recently added two new broker associates with Doug Burnett and Sash Firstenberg joining the firm.

According to the company, Burnett comes from a long line of Kentucky farmers and ranchers, and he found his way to Routt County with his wife, whose family has lived in Routt for generations.

In Kentucky, Burnett earned degrees in electrical and mechanical engineering from the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky. He also has experience building startup companies, and his passion for real estate led him to residential and commercial development.

He has also owned and operated three real estate agencies as a managing broker. He owned and operated, with his wife, two franchised mortgage brokerages focusing on resort area investment and second home properties. He has served on the board of directors and as the director of real estate for a resort with more than 1,000 condominiums.

Firstenberg came to Steamboat after spending every winter and summer vacationing here with her family. After graduating from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, Firstenberg moved to Steamboat. Firstenberg also enjoys mountain biking, camping and spending time with her border collie, Rowan.
