Travelers can expect hazardous road conditions Friday morning, especially along mountain passes, the National Weather Service in Pueblo said Friday morning. The Denver metro, foothills and Front Range are still digging out from a large snowstorm on Wednesday and Thursday.
“Road conditions are still severe in several places,” Jeffcom 911 dispatch tweeted. “Please stay home if you are able.”
Colorado road closures Friday, March 15
- US 6 is closed in both directions between Colo. 119 and Colo. 93, near Golden, for safety concerns.
- Colo. 46 is closed in both directions between Colo. 119 and Golden Gate Drive, near Central City.
- U.S. 6 is closed in both directions over Loveland Pass east of Keystone between mile markers 222 and 229.
- Colo. 9 is closed in both directions between County Road 4 and Quandary Drive. Hoosier Pass is not recommended for travel.
- Colo. 14 is closed in both directions between County Road 61 and US 287.
