OAKVILLE – Mrs. Doris (Sweeney) Marchesseault, 95, beloved wife of the late Paul Marchesseault, passed away peacefully at Saint Mary’s Hospital VITAS Inpatient Hospice Care Unit on Monday, March 11, 2024.
Born in Waterbury on Aug. 25, 1928, Doris was the daughter of the late Clara Sweeney. Doris worked as an office manager for many years for Dr. Pet and Chase Metal Works.
Left to cherish her memory are members of her late husband Paul’s family, her sisters-in-law Carol Marchesseault of Naugatuck, Phyllis and her husband Ernest Marchesseault of Waterbury, Jeannette Laliberte of Middlebury; and several generations of nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her beloved cat Jamie.
Doris’ family would like to thank the staff at VITAS hospice for their kindness and compassion.
Doris will be laid to rest next to her husband Paul in Mount Olivet Cemetery on Monday, March 18, with a graveside service beginning at 10:30 a.m. There are no calling hours.
