Arapahoe Basin Ski Area and Loveland Ski Area announced on social media they would not open early Thursday morning due to extreme weather.

Traveling to the ski areas would be near impossible to get to, since Interstate 70 closed between Silverthorne and Golden late Wednesday and remained that way early Thursday.

Additionally, Loveland Pass on U.S. Highway 6 is closed in both directions, as well as U.S. Highway 40 over Berthoud Pass.
