I hope companies learn not to fear this new disclosure requirement, but instead embrace it and adapt accordingly. As a concerned grandparent who wants his grandkids to grow up and enjoy a livable planet, I will continue to look to deal with companies that care about preserving our environment. Regulations such as this allow me to educate myself as a consumer and reward organizations that play their part in the transition to a low-emissions economy. And they give me hope that our future generations will indeed be able to thrive in that livable world I envision us leaving to them.
